Summary of Job Duties:The Center for Research, Health and Society seeks to hire a part-time (10-20 hours per week) student employee to support the research team in the translation and dissemination of study products. The student employee will assist the research teams in conducting literature searches, data collection, data synthesis, and the compilation of information to inform the development of products such as manuscripts, trainings, website content, videos, reports, briefs, infographics, and newsletters. They will help write papers and develop conference presentations. They will assist the team in the collection of evaluation data, data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral health, psychology, sociology, public health, or related health field.

  • MUST be enrolled in a graduate degree program.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong oral and written communication.

  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Experience in using AI tools.

  • Must be able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Works with team to follow and implement the translation and dissemination strategic plan in a timely manner. Proactively identifies potential barriers to completion of project goals and milestones and communicates with supervisor and relevant partners to address challenges.

  • Research Synthesis: Conducts literature reviews, summarizes the literature, and provides data to researchers to inform presentations, manuscripts, andreports.

  • Communications: Sets up team meetings, compiles notes for meetings, sends out tasks, follows up with appropriate persons on tasks. Provides regular project updates. Works with external constituents such as advisory boards and steering committees to gather information on product needs.

  • Evaluation and Research Support: Works with teams to analyze data, compile reports, presentations, and manuscripts. Ensures that research activities are conducted with rigor and according to protocol. Assists with the development of a protocol on rigor in community-engaged research.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
