SUMMARY:

  • The Manager โ€“ Outreach provides strategic and operational leadership for Sourceโ€™s area outreach programs. This role has market-level ownership for growth, partner relationships, financial performance, and team development, while still maintaining a clinical presence to ensure care quality and credibility. The Manager serves as the primary liaison between outreach partners and Source leadership, ensuring high-quality service delivery, scalable operations, and alignment with Sourceโ€™s mission, values, and compliance standards.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Market Oversight

  • Provides leadership and preparation in alignment with Sourceโ€™s core values, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversees outreach operations across the Atlanta market, including clubs, tournaments, and community partnerships.
  • Serves as market lead for outreach growth, partner retention, and service expansion.
  • Identifies strategic opportunities for program growth and improved quality of care through market analysis, community engagement, and professional association participation.
  • Acts as an escalation point for operational, clinical, and relationship issues within the market.

Operations & Staffing

  • Coordinates and monitors daily outreach operations, including scheduling and coverage for athletic training services across assigned venues.
  • Provides leadership and oversight of PRN and full-time outreach staff, supporting performance, engagement, and professional development.
  • Partners with Recruiting and People Operations on staffing forecasts, onboarding, and retention strategies for the Atlanta market.
  • Assesses workflows regularly and develops alternative solutions to improve efficiency, coverage reliability, and service quality.

Partner & Contract Management

  • Manages new, renewing, and expanding contracts in collaboration with healthcare partner leadership, marketing, and Source administration.
  • Maintains strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ensures consistent, professional, and timely communication with all internal and external partners.
  • Supports marketing and community outreach efforts to promote Sourceโ€™s healthcare partners and outreach services.

Financial & Performance Accountability

  • Monitors staffing utilization, PRN spend, and operational efficiency to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Oversees accurate reporting, documentation, and maintenance of outreach injury tracking and data systems.

Clinical Oversight & Coverage

  • Ensures high-quality patient care and customer satisfaction through engagement with physicians, emergency care, urgent care, schools, clubs, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintains clinical competence in on-field assessment, injury prevention, and care delivery.
  • Provides athletic training coverage, averaging 15-20 hours per week, to support teams, model best practices, and stay connected to field operations.
  • Identifies patient needs for ancillary services and ensures appropriate follow-up and referrals.

Compliance & Professional Standards

  • Ensures complete, thorough, and compliant documentation and data reporting.
  • Upholds ethical standards, patient rights, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains professional affiliations through participation in state, regional, and national athletic training organizations and adherence to NATA best practices.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly supervises Outreach Athletic Trainers and other assigned healthcare professionals within the Atlanta market.
  • Responsible for interviewing, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, coaching, corrective action, and recognition.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Source policies and applicable laws
Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's Degree (MA/MS) or equivalent, or six to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
  • Maintains current licensure by the state of Georgia and be certified by the Board of Certification.
  • Preferred member of National Athletic Trainerโ€™s Association, Southeast Athletic Trainerโ€™s Association, Georgia Athletic Trainerโ€™s Association.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Computer skills required: Accounting Software; Contract Management Systems; Development Software; Human Resource Systems; Inventory Software; Microsoft Office Suite; Payroll Systems; Project Management Software; Concussion Management Software
  • Other skills required:
  • Maintain independent liability insurance in addition to liability insurance provided by employer.
  • Maintain a valid state driverโ€™s license, a satisfactory driving record, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.

  • Experience with athletes in numerous high school sports.
