Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the growth and management of a portfolio of large sized business and very complex accounts.  Typically manages a portfolio from $40-$70MM.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Serves as business banking relationship manager for large sized business customers, providing them with a full range of financial services products; including loans, deposit services and all related business banking services that 1st Source offers.
  • Provides customers with the services/products that result in revenue to meet internal financial goals and control expenses.
  • Reviews and analyzes business plans for investment potential and monitors portfolio for quality and returns.
  • Provides qualified referrals to colleagues for the services/products that 1st Source offers for which they are the specialists.
  • Analyzes and approves credits within prescribed limit, typically handles relationships of $1MM+ and manages a large portfolio.
  • Documents bank/customer relationships and commitments.
  • Retains and strengthens current relationships and seeks to develop new business.
  • Reviews periodically the bank’s exposure and relative account profitability.
  • Performs financial reviews on a timely basis.
  • Complies with bank’s loan policies and procedures and legal requirements.
  • Performs supervisory responsibilities as requested.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position. 
  • Completes all compliance training related to the position.
  • Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Prepares reports for internal and external needs as required.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
  • Ten (10) or more years Personal Banking or Business Banking sales experience preferred.
  • Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels internally and externally.
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with internal service partners and customers in order to gain their trust and respect.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, or finance is preferred.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel to off-site locations for meetings, projects, seminars, etc., as well as ability to travel overnight.
