Job description

Quanex is looking for Assemblers-1st shift to join our team located in Thomasville NC.

The Assembler is responsible for operating a multiple port – turn style automatic screw dispensing machine, loading individual parts for attachment. 1st shift hours are 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Run machines, including set up and basic troubleshooting.
  • Adjust machine and product settings to maintain product specifications and part dimensions.
  • Responsible for maintaining and adhering to the quality standards.
  • Responsible for collecting and reporting scrap.
  • Fill out inspection and or TPM reports.
  • Follow all safety procedures, rules and guidelines.
  • Keep the machine operation area neat, clean, and orderly.

Your Credentials:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time.

The hourly wage for this position is $16.00 per hour.
