Job description

Duties and responsibilities

  • Enter 100% accurate inventory transactions to account for product movements - product, lot, quantity, location. Completes product identification labels to accurately display lot, quantity, descriptions. Verifies all transactions entered or recorded.
  • Transport product safely within plant, and to/from trailers in order to: ship, receive, store, stage. Includes freezer and dry inventories - all areas.
  • Audit staged product inventories as required to insure total accuracy of product, lot, and quantity counts.
  • Conduct physical inventories of all warehouse areas as assigned.
  • Manually count, sort, pack, palletize product and film wrap as needed to protect and store product in high quality fashion.
  • Service forklift battery as needed with proper water fill and charger connection.
  • Sustain warehouse quality of storage excellence and inventory location accuracy 100%.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Forklift certification on standup reach truck or equivalent with one year forklift experience within industrial warehouse desired but not required. Must have ability to pass in-house fork truck certification and industrial warehouse and math tests.
  • RF scanner and inventory transaction experience desired. Ability to learn and demonstrate RF scanner and inventory transaction set.
  • Reliability with strong work ethic and team communication skills required.

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand for extended periods of time as well as walk frequently. Bending and squatting may also be required. The associate is frequently required to use arms to reach out and use hands to grasp objects and/or controls. The associate must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions. Cold storage operating conditions will apply.
