Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.
Merrimack Health is the newly unified regional health system formed through the 2024 integration of Lawrence General Hospital with the Holy Family Hospitals (Methuen and Haverhill campuses). As of October 1, 2024, these three campuses operate together as one coordinated, mission-driven system: Merrimack Health Lawrence Hospital, Merrimack Health Haverhill Hospital and Merrimack Health Methuen Hospital.

Position Overview:
Merrimack Health is seeking a BC/BE Urologist with robotic surgery experience to join a community-based, hospital-employed practice serving a growing regional population. The role emphasizes high-quality, efficient, patient-centered care with a broad urologic case mix. The ideal candidate will thrive in a community hospital setting, balancing advanced robotic surgery with accessible, full-spectrum urologic care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide urologic surgical care, including but not limited to endoscopic and minimally invasive procedures, open, laparoscopic and robotic procedures as clinically indicated, evaluation and management of benign urologic conditions.
  • Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic care.
  • Participate in shared urology call coverage.
  • Collaborate closely with APP's, OR staff, anesthesia, and nursing teams to optimize throughput and patient experience.
  • Deliver evidence-based, cost-conscious care appropriate for a community setting and participate in hospital quality initiatives and service line development.
  • Maintain strong relationships with referring primary care providers and community specialists.
  • Support patient education and shared decision-making.
  • Participate in peer review and departmental meetings.

Required Education and Qualifications:
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Urology residency
  • Fellowship training or demonstrated experience in robotic urologic surgery
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
  • Eligible for state medical licensure in Massachusetts and hospital privileges
  • Strong interest in community-based practice and long-term program growth
