Job description

First National Bank of America is looking for a Branch Manager to manage our East Lansing Branch. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of a retail branch including account opening, account maintenance and processing transactions to assure timely and accurate handling of transactions in order to deliver exceptional customer service while driving deposit growth. The Branch Manager will monitor daily workflow within the department to ensure that all deadlines are met and resources utilized effectively. A successful candidate will have a strong customer focus, outstanding teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate/support/sell all bank products and services, including cash management products and services to existing and prospective customers.
  • Assist customers in-person and via emails, phone calls and instant messages.
  • Coordinate employee schedules to maintain service standards.
  • Meet with staff weekly, or more frequently, to discuss employee performance, feedback and define goals for the employee's development
  • Comply with all relevant regulations and follow all bank procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • 2+ years' experience managing direct reports
  • Detailed knowledge of deposit account opening regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to create process and develop structure at a growing company
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and Word
  • Exceptional skills with technology, including the ability to problem solve when systems are not operating as intended.
