Logistics SME

The Opportunity:

As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don't. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We're looking for an expert like you to create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.

As a logistics subject matter expert, you'll bring your understanding of department logistics systems and new technologies to work on projects for the Joint Staff. You'll provide expert input on logistics requirements to ensure the U.S. can procure and sustain unmanned and autonomous systems across all domains. You'll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we'll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate rapidly evolving and complex systems, policies, and processes related to unmanned and autonomous systems.

You'll guide the work we do for the Joint Staff and the solutions we deliver for military missions and national security. Further your career with us as you help solve complex design, integration, and analytical problems.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience planning, coordinating, and executing defense logistics strategies for unmanned systems

  • Knowledge of military logistics systems, and unmanned defensive and offensive systems

  • Knowledge of the life cycle chain of autonomous systems, including critical components, vendor development, shipment to the warfighter, storage, transport to theater, and sustainment in theater

  • Ability to develop a campaign or concept for the entire lifecycle of autonomous systems

  • Ability to work with the operational force to appreciate their requirements and limitations, and translate that into procurement actions

  • Ability to provide analysis and management approaches to supply chain risk

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience supporting high-visibility customer-facing programs

  • 8+ years of experience working at the DoD logistics programs

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies related to unmanned systems

  • Knowledge of Maven Smart System development

  • Ability to work across public and private sectors

  • Ability to perform data management

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
