Job Summary KBR is a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating workplace. The Senior Logistics Specialist position in support of KBR's Government Services mission impacts a wide range of customer operational, project or service activities. Therefore, the position requires a person who has a strong knowledge of Logistics Best Practices and how their own area integrates with others. The person in this position must have the ability to build relationships with employees and stakeholders across all levels of an organization, must have the ability to solve complex problems, have a very high degree of initiative; and must be a dependable and highly organized team player who can communicate effectively and efficiently on all levels of an organization. Roles and Responsibilities * Provide Logistic and Programmatic support to Air and Missile Defense Programs.
* Provide logistical analysis and technical input across multiple projects in support of the US Government Customer.
* Analyzes, organizes, plans and administers various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, or maintenance/repair activities for one or more basic programs using established procedures.
* Analyzes basic contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements.
* Performs technical studies to refine project requirements.
* Conducts research and identifies actions and logistical projects assigned to area of responsibility, coordinates assignment of all tasks, and monitors compliance and completion.
* Initiates coordination between resource managers/supervisors/subordinates and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
* Develops improvements to complex workflows, processes, and management practices and provides logistically sound recommendations to support programmatic decisions made by senior leadership.
* Participates in Integrated Product Team Meetings, Working Groups, and Program Reviews to represent Customer's logistics interest.
* Collates information and provides written reports to Customer regarding salient meeting content.
* Conducts frequent interface with senior leadership and the U.S. Government customer.
* Supports completion of administrative needs, taskings, and evaluations.
* Organizes and coordinates the planning and production of activities associated with assigned projects.
* Serves as primary customer contact for assigned area of responsibility. Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree
* Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience.
* Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance within six months of hiring.
* Must be able to support the mission with up to 25 percent travel. Preferred Qualifications * Ten or more years of experience working with or in support of the Patriot Air and Missile Defense Weapon System.
* Preferred 10+ years of relevant DoD logistics-related experience.
* A current SECRET security clearance at time of hiring.
* Five or more years of experience with working DoD related Foreign Military Sales (FMS) projects.
