Job description

Housekeeping/Laundry

Riverview Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center is accepting applications for Housekeeping/Laundry full and part time positions. Shift is days including every other weekend, No evenings. Prior long term care setting experience is preferred.

Duties

• Washes beds (bedframes, remote control, head and footboards) and mattresses.
• Dusts/cleans furniture and non-medical equipment, TVs, over bed tables, sweeps, scrubs, mops floors and moldings.
• Cleans under and behind furniture.
• Clean windows, sills, doors, and door handles.
• Empties and cleans waste baskets.
• Transports trash and biohazard waste to disposal areas.
• Keeps Janitor closets, storage rooms, and housekeeping carts in clean and orderly condition.
• Rotates in laundry as needed.
• Adheres to all infection control standard precautions including personal protective equipment use.
• Report safety concerns and maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Completes all assigned education in learning management system timely.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping preferred
• Able to work independently and as team member effectively
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
• Excellent communication skills/Problem solving
