Position Overview

Flexibility First Physical Therapy is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in Herndon, Virginia. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with patients to restore mobility, enhance physical performance, and improve overall quality of life. Your expertise will play a critical role in the rehabilitation journey of individuals recovering from injuries or surgeries, as you implement evidence-based practices in a collaborative environment.

About the Organization

Flexibility First Physical Therapy is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center focused on providing comprehensive care to our clients. Our facility features over 5,000 square feet dedicated to sports medicine and rehabilitation, equipped with advanced therapeutic technologies. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, individualized patient care and fostering a supportive environment. Our team currently consists of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA) dedicated to optimizing patient outcomes.

Work Environment

This full-time position requires an onsite presence in our Herndon, Virginia rehabilitation center. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while contributing to our team. With a focus on personalized care, you will engage with patients in a welcoming and professional atmosphere, surrounded by a team that prioritizes collaboration, learning, and continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess individual patient needs by recognizing their objectives and requirements for recovery.
  • Manage a patient load of one client per hour, enabling focused and quality therapy sessions.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques to enhance patients' mobility and functional abilities.
  • Administer cost-effective, innovative therapies that promote a wide range of motion and reduce the need for surgical interventions.
  • Encourage patient engagement and motivation throughout treatment to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Regularly evaluate patient progress, updating treatment plans as necessary based on monitoring outcomes and response to therapy.
  • Document and manage patient records accurately using EMR software, such as WebPT, to maintain an organized and compliant system.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At Flexibility First Physical Therapy, we primarily cater to individuals with private medical insurance who are seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions and injuries. Our patient population includes athletes, active professionals, and individuals recovering from various surgeries, such as joint replacements or fractures. By implementing individualized treatment plans, we strive to meet their diverse needs and promote recovery.

Qualifications
  • Earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • Licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia, with no history of board or disciplinary actions.
  • Proficient in manual therapy techniques and able to design and implement effective exercise programs.
  • Familiarity with EMR Software, particularly WebPT, to manage patient documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings, ideally in a sports medicine context.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions that enhance patient mobility and functional outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
Compensation and Benefits
