Job description

Join IES, Integrative Emergency Services, an independent physician-owned group at Tucson Medical Center. Help lead the team in the Adult Emergency Department. We have created a new position, Assistant Medical Director to join the current leadership team of a Medical Director and Assistant Medical Director.

Positions:

  • Full Time Assistant Medical Director

Adult Emergency Department:

  • Volume: 80,000
  • Admission Rate: 27%
  • Transfer Rate: 1%
  • Patients/Hour: 1.7
  • Physician Coverage: 69 hrs daily
  • Physician Shifts: Day/evening shifts are 9 hours; Night shifts are 2000 0600; 2200 - 0700
  • APP Coverage: 50 hrs daily
  • Adult ED Beds: 60
  • EMR: Epic
  • Imaging: Full imaging services available - POCUS, CT, MRI, Xray, US, Nuc Med, IR
  • Qualifications: BC ABEM or ABOEM

Adult Hospital:

  • Beds: 615
  • Certified Primary Stroke Center
  • Accredited Chest Pain Center
  • Gold Plus Achievement Award

Compensation:

  • W2
  • All RVU compensation plan
  • Adult ED Nocturnist: $250/hr average - $240 per hour guaranteed iplus RVU including 10% Quality Service Performance metrics pay
  • Adult ED All Other Shifts: $270/hr average; range $220-$350/hr - all RVU including 10% Quality Service Performance metrics pay
  • Quality Service Performance metrics pay: is based on metrics established annually and is paid monthly
  • Night Shift Differential: $15/hr 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. (excludes cross-over shifts)
  • Holiday Bonus Pay: $85.00 per hour bonus pay on designated holidays
  • Monthly Assistant Medical Director Stipend: $7,500/month
  • Starting Bonus: $25,000 for one year full-time commitment and $50,000 for two year full-time commitment

  • 401K with immediately vested company match of 100% for the first 3% of salary deferral and 50% of 4-5% of salary deferral (annual maximum company match of $14,000)
  • $5,000 Annual CME/Business Expense Reimbursement Allowance
  • Liability Insurance:$2mil/$4mil Occurrence-based liability insurance coverage (no tail coverage necessary)
