Job description

Housekeeper

Position Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role plays a vital part in delivering a welcoming, safe, and comfortable environment consistent with The Parker Hotel brand standards.

Please note that this is a summer seasonal role.

Core Responsibilities

Guest Room Cleaning

  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards
  • Change linens and make beds to brand specifications
  • Clean bathrooms including showers, tubs, toilets, mirrors, and sinks
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all surfaces
  • Replenish guest amenities and supplies
  • Inspect rooms for cleanliness, damages, and maintenance needs
  • Report maintenance concerns promptly

Public Area & Property Care

  • Maintain cleanliness of hallways, stairwells, lobby areas, and outdoor walkways
  • Assist with pool area and exterior cleanliness as assigned
  • Remove trash and recycling from designated areas
  • Support cleanliness of back-of-house areas

Laundry Support (as assigned)

  • Operate washers and dryers for linens and towels
  • Fold and organize clean laundry
  • Maintain cleanliness of laundry room and equipment

Guest Interaction

  • Respond courteously to guest requests
  • Demonstrate friendly, service-first hospitality at all times
  • Respect guest privacy and confidentiality

Safety & Standards

  • Follow all cleaning and sanitation procedures
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
