Fleet Maintenance Mechanic
Greenville, OH
We are looking for a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team. Must be knowledgeable on various types of equipment from small lawn mowers, medium duty trucks, to skid loaders both hydraulic and electronic. Willing to operate and learn equipment. Willing to learn and do general facility repairs. Must be able to work independently.

A Fleet Maintenance Mechanic is a skilled technician responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of vehicles, machinery, or equipment used by a company or organization. These mechanics work with a variety of vehicles, including trucks, buses, or other specialized fleet equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order to minimize downtime and extend the life of the fleet.


Key Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance:
Performing regular inspections and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, and fluid replacements.

Repairs:
Diagnosing and fixing mechanical or electrical issues, including engine malfunctions, transmission problems, and other mechanical failures.

Parts Replacement:
Ordering and replacing damaged or worn-out parts, such as brake pads, batteries, filters, or tires.

Record Keeping:
Keeping detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts replaced to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Preventative Measures:
Identifying potential issues before they become major problems, helping to prevent breakdowns and unplanned repairs.

Collaboration:
Working with other maintenance staff, fleet managers, and possibly drivers to coordinate repair schedules and ensure maximum fleet efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
Mechanical Knowledge: Proficiency in working with engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Diagnostic Skills: Ability to identify problems using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting methods.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring all repairs and maintenance are completed according to industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work in physically demanding environments and handle heavy parts and tools.
This is a drug free company, and you must be able to pass a drug test. Must also be able to pass a background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with opportunity for overtime
Salary is negotiable based on experience.
Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Mechanic experience: 2 years (Preferred)
Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
Commercial driver’s license (CDL).
