Job Overview

Fairview is looking for a Cook to join the Southdale Campus in Edina, MN! This position is approved for a 0.6 FTE 48 hours over a 2-week pay period and is benefit eligible!

This position is responsible for preparing food items as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established standards of high quality.

Schedule: Week 1
Wednesday - 11am-7:30pm
Thursday - 11am-7:30pm
Saturday - 11am-7:30pm
Sunday - 11am-7:30pm
Week 2
Tuesday - 11am-7:30pm
Thursday - 11am-7:30pm
Responsibilities
  • Prepares food products to meet temperature and quality standards.
  • Follows standardized recipes weighing and measuring ingredients to assure products are consistent in quality and nutritional value.
  • Assemble food within appropriate time frames.
  • Handle and prepare food in safe manner following HACCP standardized operating procedures
  • Takes and documents temperatures of food items and makes appropriate adjustments to achieve standards.
  • Sanitizes equipment and work area per assigned schedules and designated procedure.
  • Takes ownership for self and others in work area.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.


Required Qualifications

  • One to three years cook experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, using the English language.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Certified or willing to become certified for food safety
