Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery, Postpartum and Nursery
Location: Elko, NV
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Shift: 19:00-07:00
Job Description: The selected candidate will be a vital member of the Women's Services department in a facility that emphasizes quality healthcare for the Northeast Nevada community. As a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery, you will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout their hospital stay.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct labor and delivery procedures following safety and quality standards.
- Manage postpartum care for mothers and their newborns, providing education and support.
- Perform OB triage and nonstress tests.
- Monitor and manage antepartum and intrapartum complications.
- Handle management of conditions such as pre-eclampsia/eclampsia and hemorrhages.
- Provide care in the level 1 nursery.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in women's services, specifically in Labor & Delivery and postpartum.
- Current BLS, NRP, ACLS certifications required.
- Proficiency in Fetal Heart Monitoring—Intermediate or Advanced level.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
