Job description

Industry: Elections Office

Assigned Work Location: Orlando, FL 32806

Pay Rate: $15/hr.

Hours: M-F 8am-5pm, plus nights and weekends as needed (Note: Around 6 weeks of overtime hours around each election period)

Assignment Dates: May 4, 2026 - November 11, 2026

Data Entry and Customer Service Responsibilities:

  • Work with Adopt-a-Precinct (AAP) groups as assigned
  • Provide support for trainers during training classes
  • Data entry of poll worker election assignments
  • Maintain accurate and complete election boards for assigned precincts
  • Find and secure new and prospective polling places, as needed
  • Survey polling places for ADA compliance, as needed
  • Provide Election Day support for assigned poll workers
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What will you need as a Data Entry and Customer Service?

  • Must have work experience with spreadsheets, email, and word processing
  • Must have knowledge of general office practices and procedures
  • Ability to organize, complete and monitor tasks with accuracy
  • Ability to supervise multiple simultaneous projects with firm deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow established precedents, guidelines and procedures
  • Must be able to work well as a team
  • Must have a valid Florida Driver License
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to regularly stand on the job with repeated stooping and bending

Preferred Requirements:

  • Available to work extended days and weekends with little or no advance notice
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
  • Prior experience working as a Poll Worker or for the Supervisor of Elections
  • Knowledge of Orange County Geography
