Job description

Warehouse Forklift Operator – Brown Ave.

The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for moving rolls of film from one area to another within a clean warehouse environment. He or she will load and unload shipments of various sizes using sit-down forklift.


Our environment is team oriented, fast paced and safety focused.

Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy. (Relabels pallets as needed.)
  • Repairs broken pallets, as necessary.
  • Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances, as necessary.
  • Change LP tank and monitor power source, as necessary.
  • Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Reports issues for repair prior to utilization of equipment.
  • Assist with physical inventories.
  • Complete daily inspection of equipment.
  • Demonstrates appropriate, respectful attitude in all dealings with coworkers, customers, and suppliers.
  • Perform assigned GMP activities in the individual’s work area as defined.
  • Clean up messes or other housekeeping issues as soon as reasonable; this will include an overall ‘clean as you go’ mentality.
  • Report any known or discovered contamination or other food safety risk to product to their direct supervisor immediately.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Six Months of warehouse and forklift operation experience.
  • Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Basic computer skills/knowledge is preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Ability to climb in and out of forklift continuously for 10-12 hours.
  • Ability to walk significant distance for 10-12 hours.
  • Must have the ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
