The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our exceptional Cardiothoracic Team. We seek a dynamic, motivated professional who is passionate about delivering superior patient care in cardiothoracic surgery.

Position Overview:

  • First assist in cutting-edge cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
  • Expertise in endoscopic vein harvesting preferred.
  • Admitting service: actively manage and coordinate inpatient care, ensuring continuity from admission to discharge.
  • Collaborate closely with an experienced and supportive team of Cardiothoracic Surgeons, fellow APP, nurses, and specialists.
  • Access to the latest technology in cardiac care, including advanced valvular interventions, minimally invasive procedures, and state-of-the-art facilities for TAVR, and robotic surgery
  • Smart Technology: See more patients without extending your day. Our providers use Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to automate documentation, reduce administrative burden, improve patient flow, and ensure accurate coding—leading to better work-life balance and revenue.
  • Exceptional quality of life with clearly defined work schedules and a supportive team environment.
Requirements: 
  • Minimum 1 year of Cardiothoracic APP experience, preferred.
  • Proficiency with Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH), Open or Endoscopic. Radial Artery Harvesting is a Plus!
  • Certifications in BLS and ACLS (preferred).
