Job description

Physician Assistant Opportunity

Baylor Scott & White Health has an opening for a Physician Assistant to join our Urology Team in College Station, Texas. Our facilities have national and regional recognition by U.S. News & World Report - a reflection of our talent and commitment to advanced quality care that is safe and compassionate.

We are looking for a committed team player with a favorable work/ training history. The ideal candidate should be focused on quality, and be able to effectively collaborate with referring physicians, agencies, and other professionals to provide optimum patient care within our award-winning integrated healthcare system.

Essential functions of the role include assessing the physical and mental condition of patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing treatments, counseling patients, maintaining records, and managing patient care in various settings.

Key success factors include knowledge of medical diagnosis and treatment, communication skills, critical thinking, and proficiency in computer applications.

Schedule includes day shifts with varying hours based on surgery schedule, inpatient/outpatient duties, clinic and hospital rounding, and the potential to first assist.

Benefits include immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits, a 401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5%, tuition reimbursement, and PTO accrual beginning Day 1.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited program and less than 1 year of experience, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
