Job description

Lifeguard/WSI Instructors Part-Time 

Litchfield Public Schools is currently accepting applications for Lifeguard/WSI Instructors
Lifeguard and WSI certification is required. 
 

Qualifications:

  • Current American Red Cross Lifeguard and/or WSI, CPR and First Aid Certifications a plus or willingness to invest and attend training
  • Able to sit/stand for up to 4 hours
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to work a minimum of 2 shifts (approximately 10 hours) per week in the summer.
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide CPR/AED to infants, children, adults, first aid techniques and water rescue techniques as needed
  • Acts in emergency situations and provides rescue and first aid assistance up to his or her training level until medical personnel arrive.
  • Responsible for daily maintenance in and around the pool facility as well as locker rooms
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations on a consistent basis to ensure safety
  • Fills out reports for incidents or other records for reference.
