Are you enthusiastic about hospitality, people, and beautiful places? By working at Yellowstone National Park, you will get all three! As the Camper Services Attendant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day administrative functions that keep the park running smoothly.

Job Summary:

In this position, you will be maintaining a clean and sanitary facility for the guests and helping guests to by providing information about the location, park, and company.  This will include around 80% or more of your day deep cleaning restrooms and showers. 

The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: June 2026 - October 2026
Pay: $15.70/hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
  • Clean, maintain, disinfect, and stock of facility; including public showers, laundry, and restrooms.
  • Custodial, groundskeeping, litter control, emptying and maintaining of trashcans and recycling areas.
  • Provide professional and courteous service.
  • Resolve guest problems skillfully with a willingness and desire to understand a guest’s viewpoint and to take any necessary steps so that the guest is satisfied when they leave.
  • Perform cashier duties at the facility.
  • Maintain a proper bank, keep bank secured at all times, provide accurate handling of monies, and prepare accurate remits.
  • Assistance with the site registration process by answering questions and presenting the “bear speech”.
  • Maintain an awareness of needed supplies and maintenance problems.
  • Wash, dry, and fold towels, washcloths, and mats.
  • Daily handling and stocking of firewood and/or ice inventories.
  • Maintain accurate firewood inventories.
  • Sweep, mop, and/or vacuum.
  • General dusting.
  • Assure a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and employees.
  • Alert Manager and Lead Attendant to guest or camper services problems or concerns.
  • Maintain daily communication shift logs.
  • Acquaint guests with the campground, basic rules, and services in the area.
  • Maintain knowledge of all park facilities, locations, site types, hours of operations, and activities, in an effort to answer questions and give accurate information to guests.

  • Strong communication skills, ability to listen and evaluate.
  • Problem solving skills, able to evaluate and select a course of action for challenges that arise.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to learn technical aspects of the POS (Point of Sales) computer register.
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and move through them in an efficient manner.
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, their usage and chemical safety.
  • Ability to interact with diverse people and situations.
  • Knowledge of Yellowstone area and facilities, activities, features and area services.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Must be flexible and open to changes in procedures.
  • Canyon Camper Service Attendants must be at least 19 years of age or older to drive company vehicles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Requires walking, bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, shoveling, and scrubbing throughout a shift up to 8 hours.
  • Moving boxes of firewood and bags of ice outward and above the shoulder up to a height of 5’6’ for extended periods.
  • Working with required chemicals.
