Job description

South Ogden City is accepting applications for Part-Time Firefighter/AEMT.

Firefighters provide a variety of entry-level firefighting duties related to protection of life and property by performing firefighting, emergency medical aid, and fire prevention/education duties. This position also performs minor maintenance efforts with firefighting and medical equipment, apparatus, and facilities.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent,
  • An AEMT, Hazmat Awareness and Operations, Firefighter I and II Cert,
  • One year of experience,
  • And a valid driver's license.
  • Must be capable of working 48 hours a month in a 12- or 24-hour shift.

The starting salary is $19.70 to $25.93 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
