Job description

TheAirport Firefighter performs various life, property, and environmental controlactivities. This includes Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) and traditionalstructural fire control/prevention. Additionally, provides Emergency MedicalServices (EMS) for the Airport's employees, tenants/contractors and thetravelling public.

Firefighters participate in an extensive training programthat includes fire drills, operating apparatus, live burns, and trainingrelated to the maintenance of the State of Michigan Paramedics license. Firefighters are assigned to a platoon andwork 24hrs on and 48hrs off schedule.
