Firefighter/EMT or Firefighter/Paramedic
The Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire District is currently accepting applications for full-time Firefighter/EMT and Firefighter/Paramedic (FF/PM preferred). Applicants must possess a valid driver's license from the state of Iowa. Minimum requirements are certification as an Iowa or National Firefighter I (Firefighter II preferred), Hazardous Materials Operations and Iowa Emergency Medical Technician - Basic certification or Paramedic certification. To be considered for Steps 2 - 5 (Lateral Entry), applicants must provide proof of full-time experience in an agency comparable to the Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire District for two/three years.
