The Process Engineer plays a critical role in driving process improvement, quality, and operational efficiency within Heat Treatment, Threading and Finishing. This role partners closely with operators and leadership to reduce variation, implement innovative solutions, and ensure safe, consistent production outcomes.

Your Role at a Glance
  • Drive daily problem solving to improve quality, productivity, and reduce downtime
  • Monitor and control key process variables to reduce variation and improve consistency
  • Lead and support short- and long-term improvement projects, including new technologies and cost reduction initiatives
  • Provide technical support across threading processes and related finishing operations
  • Develop and sustain process improvements through documentation, training, and auditing
  • Collaborate with automation engineering on process control systems and real-time data integration
  • Support plant trials, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives across operations
  • Partner with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including off-hours support as needed
What Sets You Apart

We’re looking for individuals who bring the right mix of experience, mindset, and motivation:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or related); Master’s preferred
  • 1–3+ years of experience in pipe threading operations or heavy industrial environments preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in lean and quality methodologies
  • Heat Treat monitoring and improvement of carbon steel quench and temper process
  • Statistical process control based on mechanical tests (tensile, hardness, Charpy)
  • Gas fired furnace optimization and improvement
  • Knowledge of CNC processes, threading inspection, and dimensional tolerancing
  • Pipe straightening, end cutting/sawing, and hydro-static testing monitor and improvement
  • Tooling optimization and standardization
  • Experience with process data collection, analysis, and modern analytical tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365 and database platforms
  • Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and build strong shop-floor relationships
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred
