What does a firearms sales associate do?

The job duties of a firearms sales associate involve making gun sales in a retail environment. Description
Member Engagement Sales and Service Advisor - West Bend, WI

Delta Defense® / U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA®)

Do Work That Matters. One Member at a Time.

If you’re looking for work where conversations have purpose, relationships matter, and your guidance can genuinely help someone, keep reading.

We’re Delta Defense — the private company behind the marketing, operations, and customer service for the USCCA. We safeguard life, freedom, and finances for responsible American gun owners. Each member's trust is earned one conversation at a time.

Headquarters based: This role is based at our West Bend, WI headquarters, where our team comes together to serve members, build trust, and stand watch. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.

Members First. Mission Always.

Inside Delta Defense, we call ourselves Sheepdogs. Not because we’re aggressive, but because we stand watch. We protect courageously. We build trust and connection in every member interaction. We don’t measure success by simply moving to the next transaction. We move members forward.

We offer connection to a community of people who know they cannot take life and liberty for granted. We want our members to grow the same way we do, so we are obsessed with understanding them, forging ever-deeper connections, and helping them find the determination they need to build a better, safer life. If that belief system lands with you, keep reading.

Great advisors here do not sound scripted. They sound like:

  • A friend giving advice at the kitchen table.
  • A mom walking someone gently through confusing information.
  • A counselor meeting a member as a human first.
  • A coach bringing unmatched energy.
  • The calm, confident uncle you actually take advice from.
  • A protector making sure someone does not lose money to fraud.

The best advisors slow down, discover what matters, build trust, and prescribe the next step. We do not move members through a queue. We move them forward. Our advisors guide with confidence because the solution has to fit the person, not just the problem.

What You’ll Do
  • This is a high-volume, performance-driven environment where you’ll balance exceptional member service with consultative sales and measurable goals.
  • Connect with USCCA members and prospects across phone, chat, social media, and SMS.
  • Build trust that makes people feel known, heard, and protected.
  • Prescribe the next right step through education, honest guidance, and “find needs, fill needs” sales.
  • Support account updates, payments, purchases, and membership needs.
  • Stand with members considering non-renewal and help them find the right path.
  • Deliver the kind of experience members tell their friends about.
  • Demonstrate the Core Values & Beliefs of Delta Defense.
What We Offer
  • Starting pay: $21.00/hour, with commission eligibility. Shift premium based on days and hours worked.
  • 23 days of Personal Time Off, 8 company holidays, and paid day of Volunteer Service annually
  • Advisors may be scheduled to work Company-recognized holidays based on their assigned shift and business needs. If you work a Company-recognized holiday, you'll receive premium holiday pay, including 1.5x your regular hourly rate for hours worked, plus applicable holiday pay.
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, Life, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability coverage.
What We Need From You

This is not an entry-level role. Experience matters — but conviction matters more. You bring:

  • Sales and customer service experience.
  • Strong phone and written communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and real listening. The curiosity to ask better questions.
  • Confidence prescribing a next step, not just presenting options.
  • Comfort with software applications, systems, and digital communication.
  • A pull toward the mission of responsible self-defense.
  • The courage to stand watch when the conversation gets hard.

High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or higher preferred. Producer Property & Casualty License required; paid training provided. Self-defense knowledge, training, and familiarity with firearms is preferred, but not necessary.

Training & Schedule - Now hiring for a September 14th start:
  • Start strong with a paid, required training program designed to help you build confidence, understand our members, and succeed in your role.
  • For your first 8 weeks, training is held Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. CDT.
  • After the initial 8 weeks, you’ll spend 4 additional weeks training on your assigned shift.
  • Full availability during the 90-day training period is required so you can get the coaching, practice, and support needed to serve our members well.

Now hiring full-time, 40 hours/week, for one of these schedules:

  • Tuesday – Saturday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Central Time
  • Sunday – Thursday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Central Time
