Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain professionalism when working independently and within a team environment
  • Support Lean 5S initiatives to achieve a workplace that is clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized to help reduce waste and optimize productivity
  • Attend and contribute to discourse during team meetings and leverage senior team members for knowledge and direction when needed
  • Develop new manufacturing processes with oversight
  • Verify manufacturing processes using inspection techniques, data collection, measurement, as directed
  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings and requirements
  • Design and develop manufacturing process equipment such as work holding fixtures, test methods, data collection systems, or other as directed
  • Work on tasks individually or as part of a team
  • Manage time efficiently to accomplish assigned tasks on time
  • Assist in process capability studies, efficiency studies, or other engineering tasks, as assigned
  • Assist in process improvement efforts
  • Participate in FMEA, PFMEA, Design Review, and other Engineering activities/functions
  • Assist in Engineering Sustainment activities to support ongoing Manufacturing operations - to include but not limited to: restoring manufacturing processes to operation following failures, participating in process improvement efforts, providing training to others, updating process documentation
  • Basic knowledge of, or the ability to learn CAD/CAM software, GD&T and fabrication
  • Author documentation for new and existing manufacturing processes
  • Participate in NPI (New Product Introduction) activities as necessary and as directed
  • Uphold Valor standards and specifications
  • Must meet Valor attendance requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

This position requires use of information and data which is subject to US Export Regulations, including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 22 C.F.R. 120 et seq., and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), 15 C.F.R. 730 et seq. Minimum Qualifications

U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder

Must pass all pre and post hire background checks

Must pass preemployment and subsequent drug screenings

Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language

Must be at least 18 years of age

Maintain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives "Employee Possessor" eligibility and Federal Prohibitor status regarding firearms

Able to read drawings and blueprints

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent industry experience in a related field. Higher level of education/degree will be considered in lieu of experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


Physical Requirements:

RARE (less than 10%): crawling, climbing, gripping, lifting up to 50 lbs.

OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting,

sense of touch, manual dexterity, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., reaching, range-of motion, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, balancing.

FREQUENT (up to 66%): walking, sitting, climbing on/off truck, reading, lifting up to 10 lbs.

CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): speaking clearly, seeing distant, seeing, hearing speech-range, depth-perception.


The working hours for this position are Monday - Thursday, 10 hour days (7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)
