Job description

Do you enjoy helping owners and end users understand their fire protection needs and becoming a trusted advisor? Are you a driven by doing things right by leveraging your technical expertise? Then we are interested in speaking with you. 

Our Fort Wayne, Indiana office is seeking a Fire Protection Sales Professional who combines strong relationship-building with technical expertise. In this role you will proactively develop client relationships, craft tailored fire protection solutions, and guide projects from proposal through completion alongside a project team. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in delivering projects from start to finish, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Developing relationships owners and General Contractors to increase out design build revenue
  • Working with customers to define their needs and developing solutions that meet them.
  • Reviewing construction project drawings, project schedules, and specifications 
  • Complete detailed take-off, estimate, and proposal based on construction documents
  • Performing hazard analysis and value engineering tasks for design/build projects.
  • Developing and maintaining an active proposal backlog that supports the established sales plan.
  • Maintaining historical record of all sales and bidding documents/stats.
  • Actively participate in project kick-off meetings to ensure project success
  • Other duties as assigned and as the business needs adjust.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in design or fire sprinkler sales required
  • NICET in Water Based Layout preferred
  • Experience in commercial, residential, and industrial areas of the fire protection industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills; ability to professionally communicate with all levels of leadership, customers, and employees.
  • Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking skills, ability to be resourceful and proactive when completing duties
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
