Position Summary
Monitors gas pumps, traffic flow, storage tanks, cleans and manages spills, assists members, and responds to potential emergencies. Cleans, manages spills, and performs routine maintenance and inspections. Provides a high level of member service.
Job Duties
  • Monitors pumps for proper function during operation, assesses problems, directs traffic, assists and educates members.
  • Changes gas station filters and performs or arranges for routine station equipment maintenance.
  • Cleans gas spills using neutralizing agents and/or absorbing cloth, disposing of materials properly.
  • Monitors cleanliness of the station, including dispensers, data shed, islands, pavement, and trash.
  • Loads pump receipt tape and ribbons.
  • Performs inspection of all equipment, provides routine maintenance on filters and nozzles, and controls open or closed signs.
  • Researches area competitive pricing, documenting reports into the computer.
  • Monitors fuel deliveries, ensures safety precautions, and completes all documentation.
  • Enforces National fire codes and Costco safety policies, e.g. no smoking, ignition turned off, filling storage containers.
  • Responds to alarms appropriately. Uses fire extinguisher, as necessary.
  • Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
  • Assists with department duties as necessary.
  • Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
