1st FP Services, LLC is a privately-owned fire protection company that designs, fabricates, installs, maintains, and inspects fire protection systems in commercial & industrial buildings. We have offices located in San Antonio, McAllen, Austin, Waco, Houston, College Station, Lubbock, and Laredo.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Technician to join our growing team. This position is primarily responsible for the installation of commercial fire alarm and life safety systems on new construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work independently while coordinating with project managers and other trades.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, service, and maintain fire alarm/life safety systems.
  • Complete accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and industry regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate findings and recommendations to clients.
  • Collaborate with team members and project managers on job site planning and execution.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, codes, and licensing requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Texas Fire Alarm (FAL) License (or willingness to obtain within an agreed upon time)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire protection system installation, inspection, and/or maintenance.
  • Programming Experience (EST Preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and local regulations.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background checks for government projects.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Comfortable working with heights and confined spaces.
