Job description

Are you an experienced industrial maintenance manager who is looking to take on a challenge of turning around a department and leading in TPM, continuous improvement and best practices.  You would be working for a world class consumer packaging manufacturer.   Leading a team of high speed mechanics in flexible packaging and molding, extrusion improving downtime, machine optimization and department excellence.  If this is up your alley and you are looking for a fantastic salary and benefits package please apply.  FYI This is overseeing a 300,000 ft2 facility and department budget of close to a million dollars so budgetary experience and similar scope is a must.

  • Coach, mentor and develop Facility and Equipment Technicians.
  • Coordinate/Perform the repair/routine maintenance on facilities and equipment including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, air compressors, custodial activity, building security and all tasks related to the interior and exterior conditions and appearance of the property.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and inspection of fire protection system
  • Maintain clean room supporting systems including filters.
  • Tracking and assigning facilities work orders.
  • On-call 24/7 to support manufacturing operations.
  • Responsibilities outlined in the Custodian, Facility Technician and Equipment Technician job descriptions
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatic maintenance skills, ability to troubleshoot and repair all production facility equipment.
  • Proficient in the following trades: Welding, electronics, air compressor, machine shop, hydraulics, and electrical maintenance very desirable.
  • The ability to effectively prioritize activities and conduct duties with minimal supervision.  
  • The ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions where limited information exists.
  • First Consideration to those with one of extrusion, flexible packaging, thermoforming, injection molding, blow molding,  maintenance experience.
