Job description

About AACI Group

AACI Group, Inc. is dedicated to making insurance more accessible and affordable in catastrophe-prone regions. Climate change is increasing the frequency and severity of wildfires and other natural disasters, while carriers are retreating from high-risk markets. Homeowners are being left with fewer and more expensive options. We are addressing this challenge by building AI-native insurance and loss prevention solutions.

The Role

We're looking for a General Manager (GM) to own and grow the entire Loss Prevention Solutions (LPS) portfolio. This is a general manager role with real P&L responsibility, a startup-within-a-startup mandate, and the autonomy to build, acquire, or partner your way forward. If you've ever wanted to run a portfolio of mission-aligned products without starting from zero, this is it.

You'll take ownership of a suite of live and in-development loss prevention products:

  • FireFoil: aluminum-based wildfire structure wrap; think full building fire blankets: ready to scale

  • Wildfire Action Plan: AI-powered personalized wildfire preparedness app

  • Defensible Space Score: property-level wildfire defensibility rating tool

  • WiserBuild: building plan and materials assessment for insurance readiness

Each product is recognized as a standalone business and represents a piece of a larger connected ecosystem. Your job is to accelerate the growth for each of these while working to develop new and durable additions to the portfolio that contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own Product + Growth

    • Set vision and strategy for each LPS product

    • Prioritize roadmaps and UX improvements -- use AI to iterate quickly

    • Drive engagement and revenue across the portfolio

    • Engage with other AACI subsidiaries to cross-sell and co-market

  • Build and Lead the Team

    • Recruit and manage MBA and undergraduate interns to own growth and/or UX for each brand

    • Operate a venture-studio-style model -- bring in hungry operators, give them a product, hold them accountable

    • Act as hiring manager and mentor for intern-level product leads across LPS brands

  • Expand the Portfolio

    • Develop new LPS concepts from scratch and/or identify acquisition opportunities and execute on acquiring them

    • Evaluate and integrate that fit the AACI loss prevention thesis

About You
  • A builder with operator instincts: You've run something, launched something, or been close enough to the action that you know what it takes

  • Search fund and/or founder energy: You're drawn to acquiring or inheriting a portfolio and turning it into something bigger

  • Comfort with ambiguity: Not everything is defined yet, and that excites you

  • Wildfire, climate, or insurance knowledge is a bonus: Intellectual curiosity about the space is required

  • Experience managing interns or early-career talent and getting real output from them

  • Willing to pursue the NFPA CWMS certification within the first 90 days

  • The blog post The “I”s of an Owner resonates with you and you professionally exhibit intensity, intuition, initiative and imagination

Location & Reporting
  • Based in either Greater Boston, MA, or Greater San Francisco Bay Area, CA.

  • Reports directly to the CEO of AACI Group, Inc.
