Job description

Description

State Fire is a trusted name in fire protection, keeping businesses and people safe across multiple states. We install and service fire alarms, suppression systems, security solutions, and more. Right now, we're looking for a Fire Extinguisher/Hood Suppression Technician to join our team.

This position is based out of our Salt Lake City office, but we need a technician who lives north of Salt Lake-between Bountiful and Ogden.

Experience is great, but not required-we provide full training. If you're willing to learn, we're willing to teach!

What You'll Do
  • Inspect, service, and repair commercial kitchen fire suppression systems.
  • Perform annual testing and maintenance of fire extinguishers.
  • Inspect and maintain emergency and exit lighting.
  • Complete inspection reports and daily paperwork using a company-provided iPad.
  • Service existing clientele and build new relationships to grow the customer base.

Requirements

What You Need
  • Must reside between Bountiful and Ogden.
  • Ability to use hand and battery-operated tools.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing time efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills in English-both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime and travel overnight when needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Work on ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.
  • Lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in various conditions.
