Sobieski Life Safety, Inc. of Newark, DE is seeking a Sprinkler Fitter Superintendent. This position plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the installation of fire sprinkler systems across various construction and renovation projects. This position ensures that all sprinkler fitting activities comply with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications, ultimately safeguarding property and lives. The superintendent is responsible for managing and mentoring a team of sprinkler fitters, coordinating with project managers, contractors, and inspectors to maintain project timelines and quality standards. They lead the planning and execution of daily work schedules, resource allocation, and troubleshooting to resolve any technical or operational challenges. The role demands a proactive approach to safety, quality control, and team development to achieve successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SPRINKLER SUPERINTENDENT

  • High school diploma or GED minimum
  • Graduation from a vocational school and/or apprenticeship preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years Sprinkler installation and maintenance experience, with a minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory role, specifically in commercial construction projects
  • Strong understanding of commercial Sprinkler systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, Sprinkler system designs, and technical drawings
  • Strong computer skills particularly with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Working knowledge of Sprinkler codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen with valid driver's license and good driving record
