The need for these positions is undetermined at this time and is dependent on operational need including enrollment and staffing. If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting.

Job Description
Applications to this pool will be utilized to fill non-tenure track, non-benefits eligible Instructor positions for delivering in-person courses at the Athens Campus for our Art History Department during the 2026/2027 academic year.
We are looking for industry professionals for potential instructional opportunities in Art + Design.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Art + Design (or related field) by the start date of appointment, or an equivalent amount of education or experience in accordance with Ohio University policy 18.001.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 18 credits or more of graduate level Art History
  • The ability to develop, and/or update, course curriculum and curriculum delivery materials/modes
  • Experience with Learning Management Software/Platforms
  • The ability to teach both large, lecture-based surveys and small, specialized topic courses.
