This position is responsible for performing building sprinkler inspections including testing devices, recording and generating results, and providing reports. Duties include assisting both the Lead Inspector and/or Inspection Manager in collecting data and generating any necessary paperwork (Sprinkler Inspection Reports, Quick Reports, and Inspection Certificates).Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure that all inspections are completed on a timely basis and that inspections are done accurately and thoroughly.
Testing of all building sprinkler control panels, devices, and functions of the sprinkler system and entering the test results into the Palm handheld device.
Upon completion of an inspection download the information and generate a completed Sprinkler Inspection Report.
Participate in monthly team meetings.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Education/Qualification:
High School diploma or equivalent is acceptable with acceptable experience.
At least years' experience as a commercial fire sprinkler inspector.
Must have a KY fire sprinkler inspector license.
Study and learn NFPA standards for the inspection and testing of fire protection systems. Stay current with code requirements, and industry changes, and obtain NICET certifications
Must be able to clear MVR check to drive company vehicle
Other Duties:
Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Industrial, Commercial, & Residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels, and comfort with working at heights
Mostly a physically demanding role. Most of the daily demand is standing and walking stairs and climbing ladders.
May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
Ability to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day.
Compensation:
$30-$35 per hour DOE Industry experience.
