Fire Alarm Engineer II - IV
Location: Richmond, VA
Shift: Day Shift

Our client is a global leader in consulting, engineering, and commissioning services. They specialize in MEP, information and communication technology, architectural lighting, vertical transportation, and commissioning.
Job Description:
You will perform design engineering and provide system design support by working closely with all MEP disciplines to ensure well-coordinated designs. This dynamic role will also involve consulting and interfacing with clients, architects, vendors, contractors, and AHJs.
Responsibilities:
- Managing CAD and other technical staff
- Participating in the employee review process
- Writing engineering proposals
- Participating in various trade organizations and presentations
- Assisting in business development by expanding on current client relationships, and by attending industry and client events.

- Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university in Fire Protection or other Engineering discipline required
- 2 to 7 years of experience in fire alarm system design and consulting
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and ICC based building codes
- NICET certification in Fire Alarm systems preferred
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Fire Protection preferred
- The ability to achieve security clearance from the Federal Government
- The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively
- Able to travel to various project locations on occasion
- Experience in using AutoCAD and Revit to develop designs
- Strong relationship skills and communications skills both verbal and written
