Job description

Title: Lead Fire Alarm Technician

Openings: 1

Office Location: Chantilly

Travel:  Whole DMV

Ideal location they sit: Around Chantilly

Hours: Monday - Friday - need flexibility for day/night shifts

Start Date: 8/3

Day to Day:

Will travel to customer sites to inspect and test fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial buildings. Acts as the lead in the field, oversees other inspectors, handles complex inspections, identifies deficiencies, and ensures all work meets code and customer expectations. Some after-hours or weekend inspections may be required based on customer needs.

Job Description:

Responsible for testing and inspecting fire alarm and life safety systems to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. Leads and directs the work of Fire Alarm Inspectors, performs advanced and complex system inspections, identifies and reports deficiencies, completes documentation, and communicates findings to customers. Maintains a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while supporting scheduled and as-needed inspections.

Must Haves:

  • 3 - 5+ YOE in fire alarm systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and design drawings
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills

Preferred Certifications:

  • NICET certification
  • EST (Electronic Systems Technician) Certification
