Job description

Are you interested in working with the teams that developed the Kindle, FireTV and Alexa? The Amazon Devices and Service Finance organization is expanding our technology team, and we are looking for a Senior Product Manager with expertise gathering requirements for financial planning and reporting systems, creating and maintaining technical plans and diving into the technical details to understand the nuances and complexities involved.
This position will play an integral role in ensuring the systems are accurate and support the right financial and business analysis for the global finance organization. This role will support and enable the development and automation of complex reporting and analysis that delivers the right information to multiple layers of the Devices and Services organization.
This position requires a proactive, highly motivated individual with an aptitude for customer focus and critical thinking and who can initiate and manage strategic system development across Devices and Services Finance organizations. This person will be expected to take ownership on an in-depth finance area. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, is analytical, detail oriented and possesses the ability to work well with cross-functional teams including Devices and Services, finance, and multiple software development teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Developing and driving product vision and strategy
- Managing Fintech products throughout the product life cycle
- Identifying business and technical requirements, including customer experience improvements, and prioritizing requests for software development teams
- Providing analytical support, including prototypes and proofs of concept where helpful
- Ensuring that standardization, automation, scalability, and agility are components of the systems and tools
- Influencing internal and external stakeholders on a shared vision with aligned expectations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
- Experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks
- Experience in developing financial software

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
