Swoon is actively hiring a Fullstack Developer to join the team!
What your day-to-day will look like?
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance web, mobile, and internal digital applications by building full-stack solutions that improve the overall customer experience.
  • Design, build, and support integrations between internal systems and third-party banking and fintech platforms through custom APIs, SDKs, and vendor-supported technologies.
  • Write, test, troubleshoot, debug, and optimize front-end, back-end, middleware, and database code to ensure applications are secure, scalable, reliable, and high performing.
  • Partner closely with Digital Banking, IT, Operations, Marketing, and external vendors to deliver new digital features, self-service capabilities, marketing initiatives, and user experience enhancements.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and database queries that enable seamless data exchange and support the delivery of new digital products and services.
  • Participate in code reviews, version control, automated testing, and secure software development practices to ensure high-quality, production-ready applications that protect sensitive customer and financial data.
  • Research and evaluate emerging fintech technologies and platform capabilities, recommending enhancements that improve digital banking functionality, system integrations, and long-term scalability.

What's Required / Technical Skills
  • 5+ years of web application development experience, including at least 1 year of full-stack development with both front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Strong experience building and supporting RESTful APIs and integrating third-party applications, fintech platforms, or enterprise systems.
  • Proficiency with PHP (or similar server-side development), JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, SQL/MySQL, and experience developing scalable web applications.
  • Experience using Git and modern version control workflows, along with writing automated unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications while collaborating across technical and business teams to deliver secure, high-quality digital solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within the banking, credit union, financial services, or fintech industry, including integrations with digital banking platforms.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices, Agile development methodologies, Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence), and user experience best practices.
