Job description

About Possible
Since our founding, we've delivered over $1 billion in funding to more than 1 million customers and saved them over $500 million. At Possible, we're building a new kind of consumer finance company, one that helps people stay out of debt rather than profit from keeping them in it.
Team Introduction
We're filling a role on our Cash Access Technology ("CAT") team dedicated to building and maintaining our best-in-class lending and cash access products. This includes the Possible Loan and the Possible Advance product lines, as well as future products in the cash access and lending space. The CAT team's purpose is to:
  1. Maximize business impact and customer growth opportunities for our cash access product lines
  2. Provide an exceptional customer experience that drives repayment and customer satisfaction
  3. Proactively stay in compliance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure our mission-critical technical services operate effectively and efficiently, in partnership with our Loan Operations and LMS (Loan Management System) team

The Role & Impact
We're looking for a seasoned product leader to oversee the Cash Access Team at Possible. This person will report to our Product Management Director. In this role, you'll serve as the owner of:
  1. Our best-in-class short-term loan, serving hundreds of thousands of customers as an alternative to payday loans that trap customers in the debt cycle
  2. Our recently launched cash advance products, aiming to help address customers' short-term access needs between paychecks
  3. New tests into additional lending and access products as we strive to meet the needs of more customers

This is a critical role, responsible for leading and growing the heartbeat of the Possible business. We are looking for a senior product leader with proven experience driving a consumer credit and access business forward while partnering effectively with our compliance, ops, bizops, data science, credit risk, design, and engineering teams.
What You'll Do
  • Manage the Cash Access product suite, optimizing the acquisition and repayment experiences to address customer liquidity needs and ensure success in repayment
  • Own the KPIs that drive the business: approval rate, repayment rate, conversion rate, repeat rate, progression, retention, and CSAT
  • Drive expansion and growth opportunities for the products, launching in new states and expanding on the overall product strategy of our flagship products
  • Create and execute a product roadmap that sets Possible up for long term success, delivers compelling customer experiences, and achieves business results
  • Communicate our product strategy, product health, business results, customer insights to Possible's Leadership Team and the company (i.e., at all hands) on a consistent basis
  • Partner with Loan Operations and LMS product counterparts, Legal & Compliance, Data Science, Risk, and Customer Operations to manage state-level audits, health checks, and reviews with our banking partners
  • Increase the efficacy of our product development processes by introducing industry best practices

What You'll Bring
  • 8+ years of hands-on product management experience in financial services or fintech, with a deep understanding of consumer credit
  • A balance of customer focus and technical and data prowess: diving deep into critical systems while thinking broadly about product strategy and the customer experience
  • Passion for leading cross-functional product teams to deliver great results, and readiness to roll up your sleeves and go deep with your team: setting the vision, charting the course, and clearing obstacles to achieve success
  • A strong reputation for managing the product development processes with discipline and efficiency
  • A deep sense of ownership and accountability for both the failures and successes of a product, paired with strong problem-solving skills to calmly tackle any challenge
  • High comfort working in a fast-paced environment (preferably through experience in one or more start-ups)
  • Ability to translate customer insights into product features and clearly communicate context and detailed requirements to engineers and product designers
  • Strong project management experience, with the ability to spot and remove cross-functional dependencies and help the team execute with speed and efficiency
  • Proven success working within industry regulations while delivering creative solutions
  • Passion for serving customers and driving positive societal change

Why You Should Join
  • A profitable and growing $100M+ business today with extraordinary demand and upside potential
  • A mission-driven team committed to building financial products that put customers first
  • Opportunity to build and execute a 3+ year plan to continue expanding access to affordable credit
  • A deeply integrated cross-functional organization spanning Product, Design, Marketing, and Engineering, with ownership of the end-to-end customer experience

Location
This is a Hybrid position. We work in our centrally located office in downtown Seattle three days a week (M, T, and Th).
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $202,300 to $238,000. We also offer significant stock options, comprehensive benefits, a bonus plan, commuter benefits, and an excellent office space with complimentary drinks and food options.
With the backing of our venture investors- Union Square Ventures, Canvas Ventures, Euclidean Capital, and Unlock Venture Partners - a dedicated following of hundreds of thousands of customers, and an extraordinary team, we are unwavering in our fight for financial fairness. As one of only a few FinTech Public Benefit Corporations, we've baked our dual dedication to building a profitable and socially impactful company into our charter; we only succeed when our customers do too. Give us a shout if you'd like to help us ship financial products that protect consumers from predatory lending practices and promote economic health.
Possible Finance is dedicated to financial fairness and community empowerment. We welcome diverse perspectives and experiences to help us achieve our mission of unlocking economic mobility for generations to come.
