Job description

About the Role

CloudZero is seeking a Senior/Staff Product Manager, Agentic Practice to own and evolve a core product area within our FinOps and cloud cost intelligence platform. This role is equally balanced between technical depth and customer focus, and is ideal for a PM who built credibility in another discipline - such as engineering, finance, DevOps, product marketing, sales engineering, or TAM - before moving into product management.

You are AI-native in how you work. You use coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) as part of your everyday practice — translating your own requirements into working prototypes, accelerating discovery cycles, and proving out ideas before engineering invests. You continually refine your own patterns and tools for using AI to do PM work better.

You will operate in an enterprise, direct sales environment, working closely with engineering, experience design, sales, marketing, and customer teams. Success in this role requires strong product judgment, technical fluency, and an exceptional ability to gather and synthesize market intelligence from both customers and non-customer potential users.

This role is ideal for a PM who is uncomfortable shipping features without understanding whether and why customers will use them.

What You’ll Do

Product Strategy & Market Discovery

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for a core CloudZero product area

  • Identify high-impact problems at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, cost, usage, and business value

  • Actively collect market intelligence from:

    • Existing enterprise customers

    • Prospects and churned accounts

    • Industry practitioners (FinOps, DevOps, Finance, Engineering)

    • Analysts, communities, events, and internal subject-matter experts

  • Translate market signals into clear product hypotheses, define what success or failure looks like, and actively revisit decisions based on real-world usage and feedback

  • Define and track success metrics (OKRs, KPIs) tied to customer value and revenue impact

Execution & Delivery

  • Lead full-stack product development from discovery through delivery and iteration

  • Write clear, actionable product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria

  • Build interactive prototypes from your own requirements using coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) to validate intent and gather feedback before engineering commits

  • Partner closely with engineering to make sound technical and architectural tradeoffs

  • Collaborate deeply with our experience design team to deliver intuitive, scalable, and trustworthy UI experiences

  • Ship iteratively with a strong bias toward learning and post-launch iteration, including revisiting, refining, or deprecating features based on adoption and customer impact

  • Make informed tradeoffs and ship under time pressure, balancing short-term GTM needs with long-term product quality and platform health

Enterprise Customer & Go-to-Market Enablement

  • Actively support pre-sales activities, including enterprise demos, customer calls, roadmap discussions, and RFP responses

  • Partner with sales engineering and product marketing to shape positioning, messaging, and enablement materials

  • Engage directly with customers post-sale to validate solutions, gather feedback, and drive adoption

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for strategic accounts and internal stakeholders

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as the connective tissue between engineering, design, sales, marketing, post-sales and customer success teams

  • Clearly communicate priorities, decisions, and tradeoffs across technical and non-technical audiences

  • Influence without authority and align teams around shared outcomes

  • Mentor junior PMs or cross-functional partners when appropriate

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 3–4+ years of experience as a Product Manager on a B2B SaaS product

  • Proven expertise in another discipline prior to product management, such as:

    • Engineering

    • Product Marketing

    • Sales Engineering

    • Technical Account Management (TAM)

    • Finance, DevOps, or Cloud Operations

  • Experience managing products in data-intensive domains, including:

    • Analytics or business intelligence platforms

    • AI/ML-enabled products

    • Data, observability, or cloud infrastructure tooling

  • Experience with UI-heavy products, such as dashboards, IDEs, developer tools, or visualization-rich applications

  • Full-stack product management experience, supporting:

    • Pre-sales (enterprise demos, customer calls, roadmap conversations)

    • Post-sales (customer feedback, adoption, retention, and expansion)

  • Working fluency with AI coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) — able to translate your own requirements into a working feature prototype without engineering assistance

  • Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to communicate rationale, tradeoffs, and impact

  • Strong ability to translate complex technical and financial concepts into clear customer-facing experiences

  • Demonstrated ability to independently own a product area and ship meaningful outcomes

Nice-to-Have / Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in FinOps, Finance, DevOps, or cloud cost management

  • Familiarity with modern cloud data stacks (e.g., AWS/GCP/Azure billing data, data warehouses, ETL/ELT)

  • Experience working with platform or infrastructure teams

  • Comfort analyzing product usage data and telemetry; ability to write basic SQL queries and operate DevOps / SRE tooling is a plus

  • Experience working with enterprise or highly technical customers

  • Experience shaping pricing, packaging, or value metrics in a SaaS product

  • Background in SaaS, cloud, or developer-focused product environments

  • Experience working on a team that practices agentic / AI-native development end-to-end

  • Experience building reusable harnesses, skills, or agent patterns for product management work (PRD drafting, research synthesis, prototype scaffolding, etc.)

Skills & Attributes That Signal Success at CloudZero
  • Balanced technical and customer orientation—equally effective with engineers, finance leaders, and enterprise customers

  • Strong bias toward outcomes and learning over output; uncomfortable shipping without a clear belief about user value

  • Strong market curiosity and rigor; actively sources insight beyond current customers

  • Intellectually curious and open to feedback with a growth mindset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High comfort operating in ambiguity and making informed tradeoffs

  • Strong product judgment, prioritization skills, and execution discipline

  • AI-native ways of working — treats coding agents as everyday collaborators and invests in personal tooling to accelerate PM craft

  • Ability to influence across teams and levels, including executive stakeholders

  • Strong collaborator with a “one team” mindset
