Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:45 am - 2:15 pm

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Large Format Cutter Operator runs and maintains a range of Large Format Finishing equipment. Including Flatbed and XY Cutters, Plotters, Laminators, and other finishing devices. While maintaining high-quality standards and workload balancing in a fast-paced environment. The ability to perform basic troubleshooting, follow work orders, and communicate machine conditions is key. A keen eye for detail is a must, and a team-centered mindset is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operates Large Format Cutters: Kongsberg, Fotoba, Graphtec
  • Operates Large Format Finishing Equipment: Seal, Segal
  • Assists with the Loading / Unloading of Large Format Printing Equipment: Vutek, Epson, Canon
  • Builds and maintains a strong understanding of Print Media, cutting parameters, and Finishing techniques.
  • Tracks quantities and versions of printed items to be cut, laminated, and/or finished.
  • Communicates finishing requirements to the Prepress Department.
  • Occasionally supports the packaging of finished items.
  • Precisely follows work orders.
  • Performs daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance machine routines.
  • Supports inventory management and order consumables for finishing equipment.
  • Contributes to team workshops and training events.
  • Attends and participates in team production meetings.
  • Identifies and assesses quality defects in media, print, cutting, and finishing.
  • Follows standard protocols and contributes to the development of new internal processes.
  • Provides exceptional service and support to the sales and project management teams.
  • Handles heavy rolls and rigid sheets of print media safely.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least one (1) year of experience operating Large Format Finishing or Printing Equipment.
  • Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, RIP's, and/or Cutting Software is a plus.
  • May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance.

  • The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds.
