Job Description / Essential Elements:
SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general supervision of the school administrator, the employee will carry out responsibilities of classroom teacher, including but not limited to, instruction, classroom, management, learning environment and other duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preliminary or Professional Clear California Credential with CLAD/BCLAD certificate required or Emergency Credential. Knowledge and skill requisite to work with students in the proper discipline and curriculum; technology experience; and training in literacy acquisition development. Bilingual (Spanish) desirable.
REQUIREMENTS

โ€ข A copy of your California teaching credential(s) or a 30-day substitute teaching permit (document must include name, document number, credential type, and expiration date.)
โ€ข A copy of CBEST results (Applicants who are credentialed out-of-state are eligible to apply with or without the CBEST)
โ€ข Copies of all college transcripts (Unofficial copies are acceptable, however we cannot accept transcripts that have been downloaded from a website)
โ€ข Proof of TB clearance (cannot be older than 60 days).
โ€ข Fingerprint clearance - submit a copy of the Live Scan fingerprint receipt.
Live Scan fingerprinting should be completed through the Orange County Department of Education, 300 Red Hill Ave, Bldg 4 - Suite 109, Costa Mesa. Call (714) 966-4306 to schedule an appointment.
Please Note: The Tustin Unified School District does not assume responsibility for payment fees incurred for the TB test or Live Scan fingerprinting.
Upon receiving ALL of the above, applicants are eligible for consideration for substitute teaching. Those individuals identified as potential candidates will be contacted via email by the Substitute Coordinator.
