Job description

Connexus Hub is a professional services firm that works with Government Agencies and Fortune 500 customers. We are looking for a Administrative Assistant with refined customer service and relationship management skills.


Job type:W2 + benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, vacation, sick)

Location:Department of Education, Washington, DC location Lyndon Baines Johnson building (LBJ)


Duties:

  • Perform program management tasks associated with ensuring timely delivery of specific deliverables and ad hoc technical assistance.
  • Perform operations IAW Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 for the badging and fingerprinting functions related to both the physical and personnel security guidelines.
  • Ensure that data has been entered into the Access Control and card management system (DSX Access System) for personnel security.
  • Coordinate the Department's Identification/Access Control Systems to include PIV and ID badges for employees and contractors in Headquarters and Regional facilities. Maintain entry logs & answer routine questions.
  • Prepare correspondence, filing case documents associated with background investigation files in appropriate folders, entering background investigation case data into electronic systems, prepare reports, prepare final correspondence, and execute administrative operating processes and procedures.
  • Provide a monthly status report of users assisted, types of services provided, and feedback about the assessed quality of customer services provided.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years working in a customer-service oriented role
  • Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
  • Be flexible and able to quickly adapt to the dynamic and evolving operating environment.
  • Fully understand quality expectations and be continuous improvement oriented.
  • Be a team player and be willing to take ownership for the quality of services and work products delivered to ED/FSA.
  • Be proficient in the use of the Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) software and other applications applicable to assigned support service area being worked in.
  • If necessary, be able to multi-task, yet be attentive to details.
  • Able to exercise independent technical and professional judgment in the area working.
