Job description

We are seeking an individual with a passion for cooking and a love for seniors! We offer a fun and engaging environment where we get to hone our craft and enrich the lives of our residents.
The position we are currently seeking to fill is primarily 10am - 6pm with alternating weekends (5:30am - 5:30pm). Due to the nature of our business, alternating weekends are non-negotiable, but we offer days off before and after full shift weekends to ensure work/ life balance. Duties
  • Prepare and cook quality meals.
  • Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Assist with food presentation, garnishing dishes to enhance visual appeal and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations, adhering to sanitation standards at all times
  • Demonstrate excellent knife skills and food preparation techniques to maximize efficiency and minimize waste
Experience
  • Proven experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within healthcare or institutional settings is highly desirable but not required.
  • Prior kitchen experience in fine dining restaurants or catering environments is preferred but not required.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices across various culinary settings.
  • Experience working in the food industry with a focus on restaurant service or kitchen operations will be advantageous.
