Position Summary

The Art Handler & Installation Technician is responsible for the meticulous, safe, and efficient handling of high-value property, including fine art, antiques, and custom furniture. This role requires technical skill in art installation, packing of delicate objects and custom furniture, professional moving experience, and exceptional client interaction.


Key Responsibilities

Art Handling & Preparation: Execute professional packing, crating, wrapping, and condition reporting of fine art, sculptures, and valuable furniture for transport or storage.

Installation & De-Installation: Assist in the professional installation and de-installation of art (including hanging, placement, and securing) and furniture within high-end residences, galleries, and commercial spaces.

Residential & Designer Logistics: Perform luxury household moves, including the careful preparation, loading, and unloading of entire homes and designer inventories.

Field Operations: Participate in the loading and securing of trucks for local and long-distance transport. Ensure all vehicle and equipment logs are properly maintained.

Project Communication & Coordination: Actively participate in all assigned job-specific group text threads to provide pre-job confirmations, real-time status updates, required photos and documentation, immediate issue reporting, and post-job closeout communication.

Warehouse Operations: Assist with receiving, inventory management (inventory systems), and preparing outgoing shipments in the warehouse.

Client Service: Maintain a professional and discrete demeanor when interacting with clients, designers, and site contractors.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and industry best practices for handling luxury goods.


Required Skills & Experience

Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in fine art handling, art installation, museum preparator work, or luxury moving/logistics.

Proven ability to safely handle and install a wide range of objects, including complex wall mounts and sculptures.

Strong knowledge of industry-standard packing methods and materials.

Experience with power tools and standard installation hardware.

Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.+ regularly and work in varied environments (warehouses, private residences, construction sites).

Valid driver's license and clean driving record (CDL is a plus but not required).

Demonstrated ability to follow structured communication protocols and maintain accurate, timely project updates through company-designated messaging platforms.

Strong written communication skills and responsiveness in fast-paced, field-based environments.
