Job description

Part-Time Brand Representative
Location: Brooklyn, NY  (locations may vary)
Hours: Part time, approximately 15 hours per week on average, hours may vary Monday to Friday, with evenings and weekends required for events.
About the Role
Are you passionate about clean energy and love connecting with people? Brooklyn SolarWorks is looking for an energetic Part-Time Brand Representative to be our face in the field — meeting New Yorkers where they are and sparking conversations about the power of solar.
In this role, you’ll represent BSW at events and in local communities across Brooklyn, educating homeowners about solar energy solutions, scheduling Discovery Calls for our outside sales team, and earning performance bonuses for every lead that converts into a sale. Your work will directly expand our reach and help New Yorkers make the switch to clean energy.  Hours are event-driven and will vary — some weeks may have no scheduled events while others may require more. Advance notice will be provided for upcoming events. Evenings and weekends are required. This position is flexible and compatible with other employment or side work.

What You’ll Do
  • Be the face of Brooklyn SolarWorks at marketing events, community outreach programs, and high-traffic locations across NYC
  • Educate homeowners about solar energy options and the benefits of going solar
  • Engage with potential customers to generate genuine interest and schedule Discovery Calls for the sales team
  • Actively promote BSW’s brand and mission in the field to drive awareness and leads
  • Identify and qualify potential leads, ensuring they’re a great fit for our solar solutions

What We’re Looking For
Required:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you’re a natural connector
  • Genuine passion for solar energy and sustainability
  • Positive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work outdoors, walk, and climb stairs
  • Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience (not including permit)
  • Clean driving record and comfort driving and parking on NYC streets
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Brooklyn SolarWorks currently does not offer visa sponsorship.

Nice to Have:
  • Prior experience in sales, marketing, canvassing, or fundraising

Compensation & Perks
  • $23.00 base hourly rate
  • $250 bonus per booked solar project — earn more for every lead you generate that closes

Benefits:
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan (Traditional & Roth) with 4% tiered company matching — eligible after 6 months
  • Paid Time Off + Sick Days
  • Monthly MTA MetroCard commuter benefit
  • Free Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Occasional company-provided snacks and lunches
