Location: Merced, CA

Reports To: Senior Finance Manager Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Analyst to join our finance team in Merced, CA. The ideal candidate will support financial operations by analyzing accounting data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role is perfect for someone with strong analytical skills who thrives in a dynamic environment, contributing to the financial health and strategic decision-making of the organization.Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns, audits, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., GAAP and IRS guidelines).
  • Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, general ledger entries, and intercompany transactions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models using tools like Excel or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for business decisions, such as pricing strategies or investment evaluations.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial operations.
